Transit Connect Side Door Wont Lock

What is involved in changing the wiring which goes into the rear off side back door on a 55 plate transit long wheel base van.

Transit connect side door wont lock.

Try opening the rear door driver side and operate the inside handle. Ok i suspect the reason the door latch won t lock us that the bcmii thinks the door is still open can you give me the reg number so i can clarify the wiring details regards brian. This happened on a 10 plate transit last year more than once. Sliding door lock not opening.

I had to take out the lock to repair and decided to show whats happening when rotary knob gets stuck. This will lubricate the lock. Connect one on one with 0. Then lock it all up as normal.

In my case i could have probably unhooked the yellow. I assume you still have the manual unlock lock turn knob at the inside back of the door opposite end to the handle if so when you turn it clockwise about an 8th of a turn the mechanism should unlock however if it dosent go round with a sharp click try pulling rattling the door handle as you apply force to the knob and the mechanism may spring into place if your lucky had several successfull openings like this.
